Capcom announces Resident Evil Requiem showcase event
Resident Evil fans will not have long to wait to get a glimpse at what horrifying twists and turns its next installment, Resident Evil: Requiem, may take. In a new extended video hosted by Maggie Robertson, best known to Resident Evil fans for her voice acting work as Alcina Dimitrescu in Resident Evil: Village, Capcom offers a retrospective, catching players up on the major events in the franchise's past, as well as a few tantalizing hints regarding its future.
Players can expect Capcom to reveal "jaw-dropping" new gameplay and information in a dedicated live showcase event, expected to release in "Early 2026". Given that Resident Evil: Requiem launches on February 27th, 2026, fans can likely expect that "Early 2026" to be quite early indeed.
Capcom describes Resident Evil: Requiem as "a heart-stopping experience that will chill you to your core", marking "a new era of survival horror", specifically citing the all-new "technological advancements, combined with the development team's depth of experience", resulting in "a story with rich characters and gameplay that's more immersive than ever before."
