Brain Seal Announces Dominus Gladiatus
Independent developer and publisher Brain Seal Ltd have announced Dominus Gladiatus, a brutal gladiator management simulator set in ancient Rome, planned for release in 2026. Players take control of a gladiator school, recruit fighters from the markets, train them into champions and send them into deadly arena battles where preparation, strategy and the favour of the crowd can decide who survives.
In Dominus Gladiatus, players step into the role of a Dominus, master of a Ludus competing for glory across a brutal championship season. Recruit fighters from the market, develop their skills, manage morale, fatigue and injuries, and equip each gladiator for the deadly battles ahead. Every recruit brings different strengths and potential, forcing players to decide who is worth investing in — and who is expendable.
Arena battles unfold through brutal duels and team fights. Once gladiators enter the arena, they fight for themselves, with their survival determined by the training, equipment and preparation provided by their Dominus. Victory is not enough: players must also win over the crowd, whose favour can shape a fighter’s fate on the sand. In Rome, only one name will be remembered.
Dominus Gladiatus is developed and published by Brain Seal Ltd and is planned for release in late 2026. The game is available to wishlist now on Steam.
